Tragic Collision on Agra-Delhi National Highway Claims Four Lives, Injures 16 Pilgrims

Mathura: In a devastating incident on Monday, four pilgrims lost their lives and 16 others sustained injuries following a collision between a car and a tractor-trolley on the Agra-Delhi national highway, as confirmed by the police.

The accident occurred around 11:30 am in the Farah police station area when the pilgrims, who had embarked on the Govardhan parikrama, were returning. Superintendent of Police (city) Martand Prakash Singh provided details of the incident.

The pilgrims in the car hailed from Bharatpur in Rajasthan, while those in the tractor-trolley were from Bhind in Madhya Pradesh, Singh stated.

According to the police, the car collided with the tractor-trolley from behind, causing it to overturn. Tragically, three occupants of the car and one passenger of the trolley lost their lives on the spot, the authorities confirmed.

The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem examination, and the police are currently working on identifying the victims.
