Tragic Accident at Mumbai Construction Site Claims Life of 64-Year-Old Woman

In a heart-wrenching incident, a 64-year-old woman lost her life after sustaining injuries caused by a falling plaster tray at a construction site in Mumbai. The tragic event occurred in the Mahim (West) area of the city, leaving authorities and local residents deeply saddened.

According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the unfortunate accident unfolded during the construction activities of a new high-rise building at Shraddha Construction, situated near Gurudwara on Guru Nanak Road, in close proximity to City Light Cinema.

Providing details about the incident, BMC revealed, “Construction work of a new high-rise building at Shraddha Construction, near Gurudwara, Guru Nanak Road, near City Light Cinema, Mahim (W), was going on when a plaster tray fell upon a woman.”

The victim was identified as Ayarin Rodriques, aged 64. Despite immediate efforts to provide medical assistance, Rodriques was tragically declared dead upon her arrival at Sion Hospital. The loss of life has deeply affected the local community and prompted a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Authorities are actively conducting an inquiry to understand the specifics of the tragic occurrence.
