Renowned spiritual guru and founder of the Isha Foundation, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, underwent emergency brain surgery at Apollo Hospital in Delhi following significant swelling and bleeding in his brain.
As per reports from the Isha Foundation, Sadhguru sought medical attention from Dr. Vinit Suri, a senior consultant neurologist at Apollo Hospitals, who recommended an MRI scan. The scan revealed massive bleeding in his brain, prompting immediate surgical intervention.
Despite experiencing severe headaches for the past four weeks, Sadhguru continued with his daily activities, including presiding over the Mahashivratri function on March 8. However, the pain intensified on March 15, leading him to consult Dr. Suri. Subsequently, an MRI confirmed the severity of the condition, indicating two significant instances of bleeding in the brain, one occurring approximately three weeks prior and the other more recently.
On March 17, Sadhguru’s neurological condition deteriorated rapidly, necessitating urgent surgical intervention. A team of expert doctors, including Dr. Vinit Suri, Dr. Pranav Kumar, Dr. Sudheer Tyagi, and Dr. S. Chatterjee, performed the surgery promptly upon his admission to the hospital.
Following the procedure, Sadhguru was successfully removed from the ventilator, and his condition has shown steady improvement. Medical professionals are monitoring his progress closely, noting positive developments in his brain function, overall health, and vital signs.
