Former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot took a dig at BJP leaders advocating for a ‘double engine government’ in Rajasthan, asserting that their “engines” in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka have come to a halt. Speaking at an election rally in Chaksu to support party candidate Ved Prakash Solanki, Pilot accused the BJP of implementing detrimental policies, including demonetization and GST, as well as privatizing critical sectors such as airports, railways, and powerhouses.
Pilot ridiculed the BJP’s emphasis on a ‘double engine government,’ asserting that their engines have already been seized in Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka. He confidently predicted that the people of Rajasthan would similarly seize the double engine in the upcoming elections. The former deputy CM criticized the BJP for diverting attention from real issues by focusing on temples and mosques while employing divisive tactics.
Highlighting concerns over inflation and escalating fuel costs, Pilot questioned the BJP’s priorities and urged them to address the pressing issues affecting the public. In his address, he emphasized the need for meaningful dialogue on economic challenges and policies rather than engaging in divisive rhetoric.
