On Thursday, repolling commenced at a booth located in the Masuda Vidhan Sabha area within the Nandasi village of Ajmer, Rajasthan.
According to Bharti Dixit, District Collector of Ajmer, in a conversation with ANI, the decision for repolling was prompted by the misplacement of certain election-related documents by the polling officers at booth number 195 in Masuda Vidhan Sabha region of Nandasi village, Ajmer.
Dixit stated, “We have submitted a report to the Election Commission regarding this matter, and upon their directive, re-polling has been ordered for this booth.”
Furthermore, the District Collector highlighted that the affected polling station encompasses 753 voters. To ensure that all eligible voters are informed about the repolling, authorities, along with the SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) team, are utilizing loudspeakers to disseminate information to the public.
Dixit elaborated, “Efforts are underway to inform the voters, including the distribution of voter slips door-to-door. The polling hours are scheduled from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm…”
