Ranveer Singh Targeted by Deepfake Video Following Aamir Khan’s Recent Incident

Following a recent incident where superstar Aamir Khan flagged a deepfake video featuring himself purportedly endorsing a political party, actor Ranveer Singh has fallen victim to a similar digital manipulation tactic plaguing the industry.

A video circulating online allegedly shows the ‘Padmaavat’ actor expressing political opinions. However, investigations reveal that the video was created using an artificial intelligence voice clone of Ranveer Singh.

While the visuals from Singh’s recent visit to Varanasi seem authentic, the audio has been manipulated using AI technology to mimic the actor’s voice.

During his visit to Varanasi, a renowned pilgrimage site, Ranveer Singh commended the recent infrastructural developments in the city and shared his spiritual experience.

Taking to his Instagram Story, Singh cautioned his followers about the dangers of deepfake technology, although he didn’t directly address the circulating video.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Ranveer Singh is set to reprise his role as Simmba in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming cop drama ‘Singham Again,’ co-starring Deepika Padukone, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Additionally, Singh will lead Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 3,’ slated for release in 2025. In an announcement, Farhan urged audiences to embrace Singh in the iconic role previously portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, expressing confidence in the actor’s talent and versatility.
