The eagerly anticipated second leg of Rahul Gandhi’s transformative Bharat Jodo Yatra is poised to embark on a journey spanning from Gujarat to the picturesque northeastern state of Meghalaya. Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole confirmed this development during a media briefing, shedding light on the upcoming leg of the nationwide campaign. Patole revealed that within the state, party leaders would simultaneously lead a parallel march in support of the initiative.
“The second leg of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra is set to begin from Gujarat and extend to Meghalaya,” Patole announced, underlining the significant geographical breadth this phase will encompass. Distinguished Congress leaders are set to spearhead the march in various regions across the western state of Gujarat.
The maiden phase of the yatra witnessed Rahul Gandhi traverse an awe-inspiring 4,000 km journey, leading him from the southern tip of Kanyakumari to the northern expanse of Kashmir. The Bharat Jodo Yatra, initiated on September 7 of the previous year, concluded its remarkable odyssey on January 30 in Srinagar. During this extraordinary expedition, the yatra spanned an impressive 3,970 km, spanning across 12 states and two Union territories, an endeavor that persisted for over 130 days.
While the anticipation for the upcoming leg builds, details concerning the specific route and corresponding dates for this extended journey remain unconfirmed at this juncture. Nevertheless, the Bharat Jodo Yatra stands as a monumental and ambitious endeavor aimed at fostering national unity and connectivity, transcending geographic boundaries.
