Rahul Gandhi Resumes Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Criticizes BJP-led Government

On the third day of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, the procession resumed from Shivpuri district in Madhya Pradesh. Addressing a public gathering at Madhav Chowk in the district, Rahul Gandhi criticized the central government led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stating that opportunities for youth to join the public sector and the army have diminished under the current administration.

Rahul Gandhi expressed concern about the closure of avenues that were once available to the youth, such as opportunities in public sector enterprises like BHEL and HAL, the army, and government jobs in schools and hospitals. He remarked that the army has undergone changes, and the public sector has been privatized.

Reflecting on last year’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra,’ Rahul Gandhi highlighted the prevailing message of the country being one of love rather than hatred. However, he noted that the rise of hatred is linked to injustice, emphasizing the need for justice to prevent fear and discord among people. The inclusion of the term ‘Nyay’ (justice) in the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra signifies the party’s commitment to addressing issues of injustice.

Jairam Ramesh, another party leader, provided updates on the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’s progress, stating that the 51st day started with a robust roadshow and public address in Shivpuri.

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, following the Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, aims to cover 6,700 km across 15 states as the Lok Sabha elections approach. The yatra, which entered Madhya Pradesh on March 2, will continue in the state until March 6. The Lok Sabha polls are scheduled for April-May this year.
