President El-Sisi and India’s PM Discuss Israeli Military Operations in Gaza

In a recent conversation, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt engaged in a phone call with India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. The dialogue primarily centered on the evolving developments surrounding Israeli military operations within the Gaza Strip, with both leaders expressing concern about the escalating situation and its profound consequences on civilian lives and regional security.

Presidential Spokesman, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, revealed that President El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s continuous efforts to coordinate regional and global initiatives aimed at achieving a ceasefire. The President, cognizant of the humanitarian and security implications of a potential ground offensive in Gaza, stressed the urgent necessity for unified international actions. These actions should seek a swift diplomatic solution, incorporating an immediate humanitarian truce to safeguard civilian lives and facilitate unimpeded access for delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza. This initiative aligns with a recent resolution passed by the UN General Assembly on October 27.

During the conversation, President El-Sisi and Prime Minister Modi underlined the strength of the bilateral relations and strategic partnership between Egypt and India. They affirmed their commitment to furthering joint cooperation and enhancing the collaboration between the two nations.
