In the latest development following the abduction of a student preparing for a competitive exam in Kota, Rajasthan, authorities have announced the registration of a case and the deployment of teams to various areas in pursuit of the suspects.
Circle Inspector Satish Chaudhary from Vigyan Nagar Police Station addressed reporters on Tuesday, stating, “We have registered a case and further investigation is underway. We have dispatched teams to different locations and are employing technical assistance alongside physical verification. We will provide updates on any developments as the investigation progresses.”
Regarding any arrests made in connection with the case, Chaudhary clarified, “We have not apprehended anyone yet.”
When questioned about the specific areas under scrutiny for the arrest of the kidnappers, the Circle Inspector explained, “Our search efforts are focused and targeted. Further investigation will reveal more details.”
Responding to queries about the duration since the student’s abduction, Chaudhary remarked, “If it were a straightforward kidnapping case, the timeline would have been clear. However, since nobody has witnessed the abduction, we cannot accurately determine the timeframe.”
Regarding the investigation’s progress, Chaudhary mentioned, “The girl’s father received information via a phone call, and we are tracing the girl based on that lead.”
Authorities disclosed that the victim was not currently enrolled in any coaching institution but had previously attended a Kota-based institute for coaching in preparation for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).
“The student completed her schooling up to Class 12 here and received NEET coaching locally. However, she is not currently affiliated with any coaching institution,” Chaudhary added.
