PM Modi to Inaugurate Development Projects Worth Over Rs 12,100 Crore in Varanasi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on Friday to lay the foundation stone for various development projects worth more than Rs 12,100 crore. According to a press release from the Prime Minister’s office, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for these projects in his home constituency.

One of the significant projects that will be inaugurated is the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Junction-Son Nagar railway line of the Dedicated Freight Corridor. Additionally, the Prime Minister will flag off two Vande Bharat trains connecting Gorakhpur to Lucknow and Jodhpur to Ahmedabad (Sabarmati). The foundation stone for the redevelopment of Gorakhpur Railway Station will also be laid during the visit.

Furthermore, PM Modi will dedicate the four-lane widening of the Varanasi-Jaunpur section of NH-56, which will enhance connectivity and facilitate faster travel between Varanasi and Lucknow. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Manikarnika and Harishchandra Ghats, important religious sites in Varanasi. In addition, PM Modi will distribute loans under the PMSVANidhi scheme, keys of PMAY Rural houses, and Ayushman cards to beneficiaries in Uttar Pradesh.

The upcoming visit to Varanasi is part of Prime Minister Modi’s tour of four states, which includes Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, and Rajasthan from July 7 to 8. During this tour, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation and dedicate multiple projects worth a staggering Rs 50,000 crore, as per the press release from the Prime Minister’s office. This visit emphasizes the government’s commitment to infrastructure development and welfare initiatives across the country.
