The Opposition parties’ dinner meeting is currently underway in Bengaluru, Karnataka, with prominent leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, MK Stalin, Arvind Kejriwal, Nitish Kumar, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, and others in attendance.

Prior to the meeting, Karnataka Chief Minister and Congress leader Siddaramaiah warmly welcomed RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, AAP MP Sanjay Singh, and AAP MP Raghav Chadha to the venue of the opposition dinner meeting in Bengaluru.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, representing the JD(U), has also arrived for the opposition dinner meeting in Bengaluru.

The purpose of the opposition parties’ gathering is to formulate a strategic roadmap for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, with the objective of defeating the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

The meeting, taking place at the Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru, is scheduled to span Monday and Tuesday. On Tuesday, discussions will commence at 11 am and continue until 4 pm.

Congress has successfully gathered support from 26 parties for this second opposition unity meeting, aimed at challenging the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. The initial opposition unity meeting occurred last month in Patna.

During the gathering, various committees are expected to be established to hold discussions on pertinent issues related to the alliance. Additionally, several groups and sub-groups may be formed to facilitate comprehensive deliberations.
