The Personnel Ministry announced on Monday that a new online course called ‘Dakshta’ (Development of Attitude, Knowledge, Skill for Holistic Transformation in Administration) is now available on the iGOT Karmayogi platform.
The iGOT Karmayogi platform, known as the Integrated Government Online Training platform, serves as a comprehensive portal designed to assist government officials in their capacity-building journey.
This platform brings together six functional hubs that cover online learning, competency management, career management, discussions, events, and networking.
Specifically tailored for young professionals and consultants engaged in government work, the collection of courses (comprising 18 courses) aims to develop functional, domain-specific, and behavioral competencies. The courses provide learners with essential knowledge to effectively carry out their duties and responsibilities.
The statement highlighted that currently, 40 young professionals and consultants in NITI Aayog are undergoing phase-wise induction training using this curated collection of courses available on the iGOT Karmayogi platform.
The 18 courses cover a range of topics including ‘Data-Driven Decision Making for Government’, ‘Code of Conduct for Govt Employees’, ‘Office Procedure’, ‘Yoga Break at Workplace’, ‘Effective Communication’, ‘Stress Management’, and ‘Reform Initiatives of Govt of India’, among others.
Aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of building a developed India, the Mission Karmayogi initiative, which focuses on capacity building for civil services, plays a crucial role in nurturing a smart, citizen-friendly, and future-ready public workforce.
To accomplish the core objectives of the mission, Karmayogi Bharat, a government-owned, not-for-profit special purpose vehicle, has been established by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT). It is responsible for managing and improving the iGOT Karmayogi platform, which serves as a vital resource for learning and development in the public sector.
