Om Birla, contesting from Kota Lok Sabha constituency, has leveled accusations against the Congress party, alleging them of engaging in appeasement and divisive politics. In a statement to ANI, Birla criticized the Congress for its alignment with DMK leaders who purportedly expressed intentions to eradicate Sanatana Dharma, highlighting Congress’s failure to condemn such statements. He further contended that Congress’s association with such ideologies indicates shared beliefs.
Birla also accused Congress of attempting to secure electoral victories through religious polarization, asserting that the party lacks leadership, coherent policies, and sincere intentions for governance. Refuting claims that BJP intends to amend the Constitution, Birla cited Prime Minister Modi’s assurances and accused Congress of disseminating misinformation to instill fear among voters.
Expressing confidence in BJP’s electoral prospects, Birla emphasized public trust in PM Modi’s leadership and anticipated BJP securing over 400 seats in the upcoming elections. He clarified that PM Modi’s ‘400 paar’ slogan does not imply alterations to reservation policies or the Constitution.
The upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan will be conducted in two phases. The first phase, scheduled for April 19, will witness polling in 12 constituencies, including Kota in the second phase on April 26. In the 2019 elections, BJP secured 24 out of 25 parliamentary seats in Rajasthan, with the remaining seat going to the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP).
