The antievasion squad of Jaipur CGST has successfully uncovered a major scam related to the input tax credit (ITC) under the GST statute during a raid on S.K. Solvex Pvt. Ltd. The company was suspected of providing ITC amounting to Rs 30,90,998 without proper documentation. Acting on this information, the Subhash Nagar office of S.K. Solvex Pvt. Ltd. was subjected to a search on Thursday.
During the raid, no supporting paperwork was found, and it was revealed that ITC worth a substantial sum had been claimed. Additionally, the investigation led to the discovery of ITC transactions involving three fictitious companies: Hindustan Traders, Fresh Green Trading Company, and S.K Enterprises.
Directors of S.K. Solvex Pvt. Ltd., Suresh Chand Jain and Vikas Jain, acknowledged the irregularities during the operation. In response, they immediately deposited Rs 58,35,063 as part of the ITC amount owed. Furthermore, they committed to settling the remaining sum of Rs 5,83,983, demonstrating cooperation with the authorities in rectifying the situation.
