Indian Air Force Gears Up for Major Training Exercise ‘Trishul’ Along China and Pakistan Borders”

In a significant strategic move, the Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to embark on a major training exercise named ‘Trishul,’ spanning the northern sector along the borders with China and Pakistan. IAF officials revealed that this exercise will involve participation from key fighter aircraft fleets including Rafale, Mirage 2000, and Su-30MKIs, along with heavy-lift transport aircraft and helicopters such as Chinooks and Apaches.

Highlighting the comprehensive nature of the drills, the Garud Special Forces will also play an integral role in the exercise. The exercise is scheduled to take place from September 4 to 14, covering strategic areas in the northern sector, including Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and Punjab.

An IAF spokesperson stated, “Trishul will encompass a full spectrum of air power elements, showcasing the readiness and operational preparedness of the Indian Air Force.”

In preparation for the G-20 summit scheduled for September 9 and 10 in the national capital, the Indian Air Force is also ensuring heightened vigilance by placing all its assets on high alert. This summit is expected to witness the presence of major global leaders.

In response to potential aerial threats, the Indian Air Force has initiated the activation and movement of its surface-to-air defense weapon systems, including the Akash missile systems. This strategic move demonstrates the IAF’s commitment to safeguarding the nation’s airspace and ensuring the safety of vital events.

To counter the evolving threat landscape, security agencies have activated their counter-drone systems. These systems are equipped to disrupt the operation of small drones and, if necessary, neutralize them using appropriate methods. The concerted efforts of the Indian Air Force and security agencies underscore the nation’s dedication to maintaining a secure and stable environment in the face of potential challenges.
