The Scientific Committee of the International Public Procurement Conference-9 has accepted a technical paper authored by IAS Sandeep Verma. This noteworthy paper, titled ‘Concerns with adoption of Swiss Challenge method of public procurement using Hyperloop,’ is scheduled for presentation at IPPC-2024. The conference will be hosted by Umm Al Quwain University in the United Arab Emirates.
Organizers have reported an overwhelming response to the call for papers, receiving over 226 proposals from around the globe. However, only around 100 full papers have made the cut for presentation at the conference. IPPC-2024 anticipates the participation of approximately 300 attendees, representing 50 countries and major international organizations.
Sandeep Verma, a member of the IAS 1993 batch and the current ACS of the Public Works Department in Rajasthan, brings a wealth of experience to the discussion. His professional background includes serving as the Director of Defence Production at the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, from 2010 to 2013. Even during his pursuit of LLM at George Washington University, USA, he remained on duty.
Verma is recognized for his expertise in public procurement systems and related regulations. As a regular and permanent tutor at LBSNAA Mussoorie, he imparts knowledge in his specialized subject. Additionally, he conducts classes on public procurement for defense personnel in Mussoorie. Verma’s passion for continuous learning and teaching is evident in his extensive portfolio, with over 50 papers submitted to universities, institutions, and organizations worldwide.
