Following the violent clashes between two groups in Gurugram’s Sohna Road, Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav reassured the public that the situation is now fully under control, and normalcy has been restored. Markets have reopened, indicating a return to stability in the area.
“In Gurugram, the situation is totally under control. Sohna was our main focus area. A peace committee meeting has taken place there, normalcy restored, and markets have opened. We have conducted a flag march as well,” stated Nishant Yadav. He further reported, “In Gurugram, one death was reported in Sector 57 mosque, five vehicles were torched in Sohna, and 2-3 shops have been vandalized.”
The clash in Nuh district of Haryana resulted in five deaths, including two home guards who were shot dead during the altercation.
In response to the situation, a curfew has been imposed in the affected area. Furthermore, mobile internet services in Nuh district will remain suspended until August 2 as a measure to prevent further escalation. Prohibitory orders have also been implemented in the district.
To ensure safety, all educational institutions, including schools, colleges, and coaching centers, will remain closed in Gurugram. The order was issued by District Magistrate Nishant Kumar Yadav.
The deceased home guards were identified as Neeraj and Gursevak, both deployed at Khedali Daula police station. The injured personnel involved in the clashes are currently receiving treatment at Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital.
