Swami Vigyanananand, founder and global chairman of the World Hindu Foundation (WHF) and chief organizer of the World Hindu Congress, expressed his excitement over the upcoming consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22 next year. The ceremony is expected to be broadcast live in Bangkok, with Hindus worldwide participating in various activities, including kirtans, bhajans, puja, and recitations.
The ongoing World Hindu Congress, hosted every four years in the Thai capital, is organized by the World Hindu Foundation and commenced on Friday, culminating on November 26. Swami Vigyanananand highlighted the unique initiatives undertaken for the global celebration, including the ordering of prasad from Ayodhya, the construction of a replica of the Ayodhya temple in Bangkok, and the sharing of an image of the birthplace of Ram Lalla with conference delegates.
“We will experience this grand event together. Hindus worldwide will create a festive ambiance in their own special ways, and all religious people will immerse in celebrations,” Swami Vigyanananand stated.
The World Hindu Foundation, a non-profit organization focusing on art and culture, was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in New Delhi. The chief organizer emphasized the mission of the World Hindu Congress to enhance the identity and prestige of Hindus globally, with a particular focus on areas such as the economy, education, media, and politics.
Highlighting the theme for this year’s World Hindu Congress, ‘Jayasya Aayatnam Dharmah’ (“dharma, the abode of victory”), Swami Vigyanananand emphasized the organization’s commitment to providing direction to the Hindu community and focusing on core areas to strengthen society, with a primary emphasis on the youth.
Discussing the significance of the term ‘Hindu,’ Swami Vigyanananand noted, “Now, everyone in the world is proudly proclaiming their Hindu identity. Many heads of state are proudly identifying themselves as Hindus. This is the most significant change, and we regard it as our success.”
Regarding the planned consecration of the Ram Temple, Swami Vigyanananand outlined the efforts to extend invitations to millions of families across villages, emphasizing the impact of a strong Hindu nation requiring a robust economy, defense, diplomacy, and education.
The Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirath Kshetra Trust has scheduled the consecration of the Ram Temple on January 22, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to inaugurate the landmark event. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also received an invitation to attend the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram Temple. The foundation stone for the construction of the Ram Temple was laid by PM Modi on August 5, 2020.
