Emma Raducanu Offered Extra Security for Indian Wells After Stalker Incident

Indian Wells, USA: British tennis star Emma Raducanu has been provided with additional security for the upcoming Indian Wells tournament, which begins this weekend. This precaution comes after a stalker incident during last week’s Dubai Tennis Championships.

According to The Telegraph, Raducanu has been offered five extra security guards at Indian Wells to ensure her safety. While she has yet to return to full training, she remains on the tournament’s entry list.

Bob Campbell, a former Secret Service agent who has overseen security on the tour for years, is in charge of player safety at Indian Wells. His team will be responsible for ensuring Raducanu’s protection throughout the tournament.

The 21-year-old British star, who won the US Open in 2021, has dealt with security concerns before, including an earlier stalking case in 2022. While there has been no official statement from Raducanu regarding the latest incident, tournament officials are taking extra precautions to prevent any disturbances.

Raducanu’s participation in Indian Wells remains uncertain, but fans will be hoping to see her return to the court under tightened security.
