Officials reported that four coaches of the Ajmer-Sealdah Express derailed while being moved to the yard for maintenance at Ajmer Junction. Chief Public Relations Officer Captain Shashi Kiran stated on Monday that no casualties were reported in the incident. Shashi Kiran added that train operations remain unaffected, with trains passing through the second line. Efforts are underway to bring the derailed coaches back on track. Further details are awaited.
In a similar incident earlier this year, the Bandra Terminus-Jodhpur Suryanagari Express (12480) derailed between the Rajkiawas – Bomadra section in the Jodhpur Division of North Western Railway (NWR) in January. The derailment impacted 11 coaches of the Express train, which was en route from Bandra Terminus to Jodhpur.
