Dattatreya Hosabale Re-elected as RSS General Secretary for 2024-2027 Term

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s (RSS) Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) has announced the re-election of Dattatreya Hosabale as General Secretary of RSS for the term 2024-2027. Hosabale has been serving in this role since 2021.

In a social media update on X, RSS declared, “The RSS Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS) has re-elected (2024-2027) Shri Dattatreya Hosabale ji as the Sarkaryavah. He has been fulfilling the responsibilities of Sarkaryavah since 2021.”

During a press conference held in Maharashtra’s Nagpur, Dattatreya Hosabale expressed, “The Sangh is deeply resonating with the people, and its influence in society is expanding. The widespread reception we received across the nation during the ‘Akshat Vitaran’ before the Pran Pratistha of Ram Lalla demonstrates the sentiment prevailing in the country.”

He continued, “The Ram temple symbolizes India’s civilization and culture. Shri Ram epitomizes the civilizational identity of the nation, which was reaffirmed on January 22. Nearly 20 crore households have been reached by the RSS or individuals aligned with our ideology, marking a historic achievement in India’s history within just 15 days.”

Responding to queries regarding electoral bonds, Hosabale stated, “RSS has not deliberated on this matter. It has not been a topic of discussion in the Pratinidhi Sabah because electoral bonds represent an experiment, and such experiments occur periodically. There should be mechanisms for oversight and evaluation.”

He stressed the importance of scrutiny and assessment of such systems, highlighting that the concept of electoral bonds is not entirely novel and has been implemented previously.
