Congress Ecosystem Rattled: PM Defends Participation in Ganpati Puja at Chief Justice’s Home

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has defended his recent attendance at a Ganesh Puja hosted by Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud in New Delhi. Modi addressed the backlash from opposition parties, dismissing their criticism of his participation in the event.

In a rally in Bhubaneswar, Modi expressed his disappointment with the opposition’s response, which he attributed to their thirst for power. He likened the current discontent with Ganesh Puja to the British colonial era, noting that even the British, who sought to divide and rule, disliked the festival. “The Congress and its ecosystem are clearly unsettled by my participation in Ganesh Puja,” Modi said.

He emphasized that Ganesh Utsav is more than just a religious festival; it has historically served as a unifying force in India’s struggle for independence. Modi highlighted how the festival was instrumental in fostering unity against British attempts to create divisions within Indian society.

The Prime Minister condemned those who oppose the celebration, accusing them of spreading division and discord. He urged citizens not to let such divisive forces succeed, asserting that their criticism of Ganesh Puja is part of a broader agenda to fragment the nation.

The comments come amid criticism from opposition parties who have questioned Modi’s involvement in the religious event in conjunction with the judiciary’s highest authority.
