BJP Alleges DMK MP A Raja Called Hinduism a Menace

In the midst of a heated exchange of words and political tensions following Tamil Nadu Udhayanidhi Stalin’s controversial remarks equating Sanatan Dharma with diseases, K Annamalai, the BJP state president, shared a video clip of DMK MP A Raja, purportedly labeling Hinduism as a “menace to India and the world.”

Announcing his concerns, Annamalai posted the clip on social media, where DMK leader A Raja was heard saying, “India is the source of the global malaise, which is spread through dividing the society and the people on the lines of caste. Some Indians settled abroad also promote caste divisions in the name of Hinduism. So, Hinduism is a menace not just for India but the entire world.”

In response to the controversy surrounding Udhayanidhi’s comments, senior BJP leader and former Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized the Opposition alliance INDIA, accusing it of being formed to “oppose” and “finish” Sanatan Dharma.

Addressing a press conference in the national capital, Prasad alleged that the Opposition alliance was engaging in vote bank politics and questioned their stance on other religions, claiming they were silent on them but openly targeted Sanatan Dharma.

The controversy ignited when Udhayanidhi Stalin, Tamil Nadu’s Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, made strong remarks against Sanatan Dharma, suggesting it should be eradicated, not just opposed. In response, BJP leaders and religious leaders demanded an apology and the withdrawal of his comments.
