Bengaluru — Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) has secured orders worth ₹2,323 crore from Mumbai-based Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd (MDL) and Kolkata-based Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE). In a related development, BEL signed a contract in May with the Indian Army Air Defence to manufacture the Integrated Drone Detection and Interdiction System (IDDIS).
Looking ahead, the Navratna public sector undertaking expects to secure orders worth at least ₹27,000 crore in fiscal year 2026, up significantly from ₹18,715 crore in the previous year. Additionally, the company indicated its full-year order inflow could surpass ₹50,000 crore if it successfully clinches orders for Quick Reaction Surface To Air Missiles (QRSAM) this year.
