AI-Powered CCTV Cameras Installed Ahead of Ram Mandir Inauguration in Ayodhya

As the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya approaches on January 22, a top police official announced the installation of artificial intelligence-powered CCTV cameras in surrounding areas to manage the anticipated large influx of visitors during the ceremony. Piyush Mordia, Additional Director General (ADG) of Lucknow Zone, disclosed that the police administration, in collaboration with Shri Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Kshetra General Secretary Champat Rai, conducted a meeting on Saturday to discuss the upcoming ‘Pran Pratishtha’ (consecration) ceremony.

“Police have been deployed, and artificial intelligence-powered CCTVs have been installed in the whole district, areas around the Ram Temple, and tent cities,” stated ADG Mordia. He assured that meticulous security measures were in place to ensure the convenience and safety of pilgrims attending the grand ceremony.

The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony is scheduled to have Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance, attracting significant attention and inviting VVIP guests from India and abroad. Vedic rituals for the consecration will commence on January 16, a week before the main ceremony, with priest Lakshmi Kant Dixit from Varanasi leading the rituals on January 22. The period from January 14 to January 22 will be celebrated as Amrit Mahotsav in Ayodhya.

In preparation for the event, a 1008 Hundi Mahayagya is planned, providing meals for thousands of devotees. Tent cities are being set up in Ayodhya to accommodate the expected surge of devotees, and arrangements are made for 10,000-15,000 people, as per the Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust.

Local authorities are actively implementing enhanced security measures and logistical arrangements to facilitate a smooth and spiritually enriching experience for all attendees during the grand consecration.
